The Residence

A timber chalet in Bellecôte, with a private spa and cinema below

In the Bellecôte area of Courchevel 1850, Chalet Le Blanchot gives 12 guests a timber chalet of 565 square metres with its own pool, spa and cinema, and the ski runs of Courchevel 1850, part of Les Trois Vallées, a five-minute walk from the door.

The evening gathers at the top of the house. The fire is lit in the reception room, the long table is laid next door beneath the chandelier, and the windows look out over the snow and the firs to the peaks. High ceilings, wood, stone and leather set the tone, the kitchen is by Gaggenau, and a wrought-iron staircase, crafted by one of Paris's leading artisans, is the centrepiece of the house.

A lift joins all five levels. The bedrooms fill the two floors below the living rooms, three on each, four doubles and two twins, all with their own bathrooms. On the entrance level are the ski room, a gym and a cinema with seats for 11, and beneath them lies the spa: a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, a massage room and a place to rest between them.

A chef cooks breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, a butler serves them, and two housekeepers look after the house, with the beds turned down each evening. A driver and car are on hand in the resort during the day, with a chalet manager and a concierge behind them. Courchevel Altiport is ten minutes away by car.

For 12 people who want the pistes within walking distance and, on the days they stay in, no reason to leave the house.
